Our elders are elected by the congregation to exemplify the shepherd-heart of Christ: leading us by imitating God, caring for our souls, and helping guide our paths as we follow Jesus.
Lon Bishop
Lon and his wife Harriet have four children who have blessed them with thirteen grandchildren. The Bishops are proud to call Deep Run their church home. Lon became a Christian as a child and has been involved in ministry since the mid 1970s. He feels called to what the Lord is doing at Deep Run, is excited about the church's vision, and prays for continued growth and fulfilled ministry in the years ahead.
Daniel Odegaard
Daniel has been following Christ for twenty-three years and is grateful to call Deep Run his church home. He married his wife Meghan in 2018 and they recently welcomed their first child. Daniel is a graduate of nearby McDaniel College, and feels called to work with Deep Run to reach the downtown Westminster community, particularly young families. He takes seriously the role of an elder to assist in the shepherding and spiritual protection of church members and those whom the Lord brings to our congregation.
Steve Koslowsky
Steve has been a Christian since childhood and feels the Lord prepared him for this role as an elder through various life experiences, including his time in the US military. He has always been enthusiastic about the mission and vision of Deep Run Church, so much so that he and his wife Krissy relocated with their six children from Glen Burnie, MD to Westminster in order to better participate in the life of the church. Outside of his ministry with Deep Run, Steve is a Project and Design Manager for a management construction firm.
