Elders

Our elders are elected by the congregation to exemplify the shepherd-heart of Christ: leading us by imitating God, caring for our souls, and helping guide our paths as we follow Jesus.

Web Andrews.JPGWes Andrews

Wes and his wife Sarah first attended Deep Run in the spring of 2016 and became members not long after. Wes was drawn to the PCA during college, attracted by the denomination's rich theology and faithfulness to Scripture. He's excited about how the Lord is working at Deep Run and is eager to serve the congregation and the Westminster community. Among his practical involvements in the church's work he proofs our weekly Sunday worship orders (bulletins) and serves on our security response team. Wes and Sarah currently live in Frederick, MD with their four chidren, and Wes works in cybersecurity for the DoD.

Lon.JPGLon Bishop

Lon and his wife Harriet have four children who have blessed them with thirteen grandchildren. The Bishops are proud to call Deep Run their church home. Lon became a Christian as a child and has been involved in ministry since the mid 1970s. He feels called to what the Lord is doing at Deep Run, is excited about the church's vision, and prays for continued growth and fulfilled ministry in the years ahead.

Steve K.JPG
(Steve Koslowsky - currently on sabbatical for the year 2024)

Steve has been a Christian since childhood and feels the Lord prepared him for this role as an elder through various life experiences, including his time in the US military. He has always been enthusiastic about the mission and vision of Deep Run Church, so much so that he and his wife Krissy relocated with their six children from Glen Burnie, MD to Westminster in order to better participate in the life of the church. Outside of his ministry with Deep Run, Steve is a Project and Design Manager for a management construction firm.

Web Schipper.JPGDan Schipper

Dan and his wife Kris live in Westminster and have four adult children. Dan has lived in Carroll County most of his life, has a degree in Biblical Theology from Moody Bible Institute, and works as a VP in the medical software industry. He was saved when he was 16 and has been involved in local churches in the area since then: he has served churches as an elder, by leading Bible studies, and has worked along with Kris as marriage mentors. Dan is excited about the opportunity to build up and encourage the church. He has a particular heart to connect with our men as they "discover the depths of Christ's love". Dan loves his family and friends, and enjoys reading theology and books, playing cards and games, and going hiking.
