The Beatitudes

The Beatitudes introduce the Sermon on the Mount: the most preached-upon and talked-bout passage in the New Testament. The Christian and the seeker alike need to hear the Beatitudes, as our world’s tensions are tightening while everyone polarizes over how humanity can enjoy “the pursuit of happiness.” Politicians and celebrities, books and movies, the arts and sciences all wrestle with answering the ancient question, "What is the good life?” The Beatitudes are Jesus Christ’s answer. He preached a vision for the “blessed” life lived by a counter-cultural community of changed people.
