The Weary World Rejoices - Luke 1:46-49
December 24, 2021 Speaker: Brian LoPiccolo Series: Songs of Advent
Passage: Luke 1:46–49
The theme of Joy from carols like “O Holy Night” and “Joy to the World” harken back to Mary's joyful statement in the Magnificat—her song, though she was troubled and pregnant. The Christ, from his conception and gestation throughout his lifetime on Earth, brought joy to oppressed and distressed people. Though we today are weary from life right now, we are free to be joyful for what God has done, and what he still promises.
