Gentle Restoration - Galatians 6:1-5

October 9, 2022 Speaker: Brian LoPiccolo Series: The Doctrines of Peace

Passage: Galatians 6:1–5

In Christian reconciliation, gentle restoration is always the goal. A gentle God urges us to restore each other gently. Otherwise we run the risk of demolishing a person instead of renovating them; we tear down rather than build up. But Jesus in Matthew 18, and Paul in Galatians 6, taught that Christians must confront each other carefully and gently, not recklessly or aggressively. After all, this was Christ’s approach with us—for whom he died as a helpless Lamb to restore us as God’s righteous children.
