Passage: 1 Chronicles 29:10–19
God is the Source of all that we have and all that we give. As we embark upon a “giving” series, we first address the Source of any generosity among us: a generous God. What we have is not so much ours to control, but God’s, and therefore ours to manage, steward, and generously share. As Jesus did not aim to control others or hoard his divine power, his followers also aim to trust our heavenly Father with what we have and with what we lack.
