Jesus on Forgiveness - Matthew 18:22

Jesus talked about the essence of forgiveness: mercy. There is no limit to our calling to practice merciful forgiveness. When we forgive people, we are lifting the burden of moral, emotional, or relational debt they carry in the relationship. This was masterfully illustrated in the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant. The gospel further conveys that Christ’s work forgave not only our sins, but even sins committed against us.
