Praying through Betrayal - Psalm 55

January 8, 2023 Speaker: Brian LoPiccolo Series: Meditations on Psalms

Passage: Psalm 55:1–23

Betrayal cannot separate us from God’s faithfulness to stand by us. There is however much to distrust in ourselves and in others. When those untrustworthy tendencies emerge—even if it surprises us, humiliates us, or disenfranchises us—we have cause to trust in a God who will never desert us or break his promises. Before responding to betrayal by attacking or retreating, people of faith can run to a faithful God who has proved his faithfulness. Will our theology get practical to guide us through moments of betrayal and abandonment? It’s time we learned how to pray through times of betrayal.
