The Resurrection and the Life - John 11:1-53

Passage: John 11:1–53
While the world settles for temporary relief, Jesus offers permanent restoration. Mary and Martha wanted Jesus to come quickly and heal their brother Lazarus. Jesus however delayed from coming, and teased-out the process of divine response and intervention. That frustrates us: God taking his good time to address our condition; but we need more than relief. We need full restortion, which God intends to do - our souls and bodies. While contemporary humanity has learned to settle on the rewards of this life and cope on various dependencies in sight of our impending death, the Christian hopes in complete restoration.
